Website is a connected group of pages on the World Wide Web regarded as a single entity, usually maintained by one person or organization and devoted to a single topic or several closely related topics.
This are basic things we use when building websites.
- Domain names are used to establish a unique identity on Internet. Anyone thinking about establishing a presence on the Internet should register for a Domain name.
- Web hosting is the ability to put a business information, product content, or any other content to make available on Internet. It is a hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. The main purpose of web hosting is providing the customers with a server space on which they can store their files. The disk space permits the customer to upload or save the contents and files which are used to make their website.
- CSS( Cascading Style Sheets) allow you to specify things like the font you want on your page, the size of your text, whether the page is to have 2 columns, whether your text is to be in bold or italics, and so on. In other words, it is the part that lets you control the appearance of your web page.
- HTML is short for "Hyper Text Markup Language". it simply means it is a language for describing web-pages using ordinary text. HTML is not a complex programming language.
